The feat was achieved by Rajpath Infracon on Tuesday which had deployed around 800 employees and over 700 workers on this 25.56 km stretch between Amravati and Akola of NH-6.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the work for expansion of the entire 70 km highway stretch to the Pune-based firm. Officials said MSV International Inc managed the construction supervision services for this project.
The construction work commenced on June 3 and continued till Tuesday without any break. Earlier Union road transport and highway minister Nitin Gadkari had tweeted, “My best wishes to them for their target of world record.
The representatives on the behalf of Guinness Book of World Records are present at the actual work site and recording all activities. I am hopeful to see the world record enter the Guinness Book that will make the entire nation happy and proud.”
