NEW DELHI: With 739 fresh coronavirus cases in Mumbai itself, India reported a total of 3,712 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The reported caseload on Thursday morning was 1,123 more than the previous day, taking the country’s total tally to 4,31,64,544 since the start of the pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday, the country’s active caseload currently stands at 19,509, a significant increase from 18,386 cases yesterday. The active cases are 0.04 per cent of the total positive caseload in the country.

The death toll climbed to 5,24,641 with five deaths reported on Wednesday in India.
India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74% with 2,584 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,26,20,394 since the start of the pandemic.
Weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.67% while the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.84%.
The government of India has reported that a total of 1,93,70,51,104 vaccination shots have been registered so far in the country.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 4,41,989 COVID-19 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted 85,13,38,595 cumulative tests.
