Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 starts receiving One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L OS

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for Galaxy Z Fold2. The latest update brings updates to the two-year-old smartphone to the latest One UI 4.1.1 version. The update also includes the Android 12L operating system which brings added functionality and features similar to the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold4, according to SamMobile’s report.
The Android 12L update for Z Fold 4 brings the new taskbar that Samsung has introduced with Z Fold4 smartphone. For those who don’t know the taskbar is an app dock that allows users to multitask without leaving the current app. Also, it let users open multiple apps with a simple drag-and-drop gesture.
The company has also rolled out the Android 12L update for Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Tab S8 series and Tab S7 series.
According to the report, the update carries the firmware version F916BXXU2HVHA and is currently rolling out in Germany. We expect the update to arrive in other regions soon.
Galaxy Z Fold2: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 features a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The handset comes with a 4400mAh battery and it supports fast charging as well. In terms of camera, the Galaxy Z Fold2 features a triple 12MP rear camera setup along with a 10MP selfie shooter at the cover display.
