High Commission of India staff, British Army personnel perform yoga at London’s Wellington Barracks | India News

NEW DELHI: On the occasion of International Day of Yoga (IDY), the High Commission of India in London and the British Army (London District) hosted the first-ever IDY celebration at the prestigious Wellington Barracks in central London.
Deputy High Commissioner of India Sujit Ghosh addressed the attendees and enumerated the numerous benefits of yoga, which he said was an “invaluable gift of India’s ancient traditions to humankind”.
He thanked Lieutenant Colonel Darren Johnston and Alex Paige of the London District for their support in organising the event and ensuring enthusiastic participation from the British Army.
The British Army personnel and the High Commission of India staff came together to participate in a yoga session under the guidance of yoga instructor Neil Patel.
The yoga session was followed by a discussion on the benefits of a holistic approach , through yoga, to good health and general well-being.
