Gauahar Khan reveals she lost out on ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ because she was too good-looking for it | Hindi Movie News

Gauahar Khan, who has very successfully created a space for herself in the entertainment industry, recently revealed the biggest project she lost out on was ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.

The actress met Danny Boyle and did five rounds of auditions for the role in the film. After the fifth round, the filmmaker reportedly told her that she is a fantastic actor but he is not sure if she was trained in India as according to him, she spoke like she is from out of India. The Hollywood director also added that he won’t be able to cast her because he has to match three age groups and he can’t place her in a Slumdog Millionaire with her face, the actress told Film Companion.

The actress went on to add that she does not have any regrets about it, as she met Danny Boyle and he thought she was a great actor. Gauahar told the news portal that she was ‘very happy’ that she was getting roles, where the directors felt they needed a performance.

After making her acting debut in 2009 film ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’ co-starring Ranbir KapoorGauahar made appearances in films like ‘Begum Jaan’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, and others.
