Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar who were all set to collaborate for ‘Dostana 2’, had to reportedly part ways, owing to creative differences in the script. What looked like a huge fall out, seemed to have been resolved, as almost a year later, the duo were seen dancing together at an award show in Mumbai.

Karan who’s currently promoting his next film ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ with Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani was seen dancing with the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 2’ actor, sharing the same stage. During the event, Varun invited Kartik to join them along with other actors to perform the hook step of ‘Nach Punjaban’ (the new track from Jugjugg Jeeyo) and even jokingly remarked ‘U can dance on a dharma film song’. The audience burst out laughing.

Back in April 2021, Kartik Aaryan walked out of ‘Dostana 2’. He was all set to share screen space with his then rumoured girlfriend Janhvi Kapoor for the same. The duo had even shot for some scenes and the shooting was shelved mid way.

The statement about recasting for Dostana 2 was shared by Dharma Productions. It read, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain dignified silence- we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.”
