Shortly after Johnny Depp took over the headlines for his note to ‘loyal and unwavering supporters’, Amber Heard is sharing her thoughts.

The actress, through her spokesperson, has seemingly taken a jibe at her ex-husband’s social media activity. “As Johnny Depp says he’s ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are moving backwards,” Heard’s spokesperson said in a statement to ET.

Slamming the actor and the verdict of the defamation suit that ruled in his favour, the spokesperson added, “The verdict’s message to victims of domestic violence is…be afraid to stand up and speak out.”

The statements were reportedly made in response to Depp’s first TikTok video, which saw the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean‘ actor waving to fans from his vehicle, playing his guitar on stage and preparing for his performance backstage.

In his caption, the actor penned a message to his fans for their support during the trial. He wrote, “To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together,” he wrote alongside the clip. “You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD.”

According to the report, sources told the portal that Depp was “feeling really good and positive” and that he “feels like things are on the upswing for him” after the trial.

However, the same could not be said for Heard, who plans to appeal the verdict. The report states that the actress is “not in a good place.”

“She feels very alone and like she lost a lot of friends,” the source said. “She is sad that people she hoped would support her, didn’t.”

Heard in her statement post the verdict, said that she was “heartbroken”.

“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband. I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women,” she said.

“It is a setback. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.”

After a Virginia court found that actor Heard defamed her ex-husband, Depp, her lawyer said she can’t pay the $10.35 million in damages.
