The actress, who is set to bring the true story of Indian cricket star Jhulan Goswami to the big screen, shared a reel from the script-reading session with a host of other women. Set to the tunes of Harry Styles‘ song ‘As It Was’, the actress shared glimpses from the script read that had her smiling from ear-to-ear.
“Will strive to bring my all to the table,” she captioned the clip.
Since early this February, Anushka has been taking cricket lessons and even had hubby Virat Kohli show her a few tricks of the trade as she prepped for her role as the former Indian cricket captain, Goswami.
‘Chakda Xpress’ that is directed by Prosit Roy, traces Jhulan’s journey as she moves up the ladder despite the hindrances posed by misogynistic politics to fulfil her dream of playing cricket for India.
She holds the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.
Sharma will reportedly fly to the UK to shoot a 30-day schedule of the film that will stream on an OTT platform
